The AFA's advisory and support activities in the area of prevention and detection of corruption risks (including bribery and influence peddling) consist in:
BETTER UNDERSTANDING THE CORRUPTION PHENOMENON
One of AFA’s core mission is to centralise and disseminate information to help prevent and detect corruption risks, in particular through dialogue with the academic community, promotion of academic work and dissemination of research papers:
>> Research papers and surveys
- National survey of anti-corruption programs in businesses - results of the 2020 survey
- National survey of anti-corruption programs in businesses - results of the 2022 survey (French version only)
RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT THE FRENCH ANTI-CORRUPTION FRAMEWORK
Raising awareness about the French anti-corruption framework, which is composed of the Sapin II Act, its implementing decrees, the AFA's guidelines and the practical guides posted on the AFA website, is at the very heart of what we do. This is ensured by the following actions:
- Disseminating prevention and detection tools and fostering an anti-corruption culture: on the one hand, through the elaboration of AFA's recommendations which define an anti-corruption programme that can be applied by public or private operators according to their risk profile, and, on the other hand, through the publication of practical guides on topics of interest identified or reported to the Agency. Please do not hesitate to consult the new guidelines of the French Anti-Corruption Agency, published in the official journal of the French Republic (n°0010) on January 12, 2021. (PDF - 3.1 MO)

- Conducting support engagements: AFA’s support takes the form of administrative opinions about issues raised by corporations that may contact us at afa@afa.gouv.fr. It may also consist in individual advisory about their anti-corruption programme, whatever its stage of maturity. The AFA provides support to corporations during the deployment of their anti-corruption programme. Through collective or individual support, the Agency helps corporations to implement the main elements of an anticorruption programme that will enable them to mitigate corruption risks. Terms and conditions of this support are further detailed in the charter of support for corporate (French version only).
