L'Agence française anticorruption (AFA), en partenariat avec le Groupe d'Etats contre la corruption (GRECO) du Conseil de l'Europe, l'OCDE et le Réseau des autorités de prévention de la corruption (NCPA), publie le rapport d'analyse de la cartographie mondiale des autorités anticorruption, un projet qui a rassemblé les contributions de 171 autorités nationales chargées de prévenir et de combattre la corruption dans 114 pays et territoires.
Le projet partenarial de cartographie a débuté en juin 2019 avec l’objectif de recueillir, centraliser et diffuser des informations sur les différentes institutions anticorruption établies dans le monde. Cette vaste collecte de données, réalisée à partir d’une enquête en ligne, vise à aider les acteurs de la lutte contre la corruption à mieux comprendre les caractéristiques et les besoins spécifiques des entités concernées. Le projet vise également à identifier les tendances et les défis communs et à explorer des pistes concrètes de coopération entre et avec les autorités anticorruption.
En outre, le projet privilégie une approche de la coopération internationale fondée sur la valorisation de la recherche et de l'analyse. En effet, afin de concevoir et de conduire des activités de coopération efficaces, il est crucial de savoir qui sont les acteurs concernés et ce qu’il est possible de leur demander à la lumière de leurs mandats. Le projet de cartographie mondiale s'efforce ainsi de renforcer la coopération et la mutualisation des capacités entre pairs en esquissant un panorama des autorités anticorruption.
Les informations tirées de cette cartographie mondiale guideront l’action du réseau NCPA, sous la présidence actuelle de l'AFA, pour développer la coopération internationale dans le domaine de la prévention de la corruption. Avec le soutien inestimable des organisations internationales et l'engagement inébranlable de ses membres, le réseau NCPA est déterminé à créer un forum dynamique pour connecter les autorités anticorruption du monde entier.

Increasing knowledge about anti-corruption authorities across the world
The French Anti-Corruption Agency (AFA), in partnership with the Council of Europe’s Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), the OECD, and the Network of Corruption Prevention Authorities (NCPA), publishes today the analysis report of the global mapping of anti-corruption authorities, a project that gathered the contributions of 171 national authorities tasked with preventing and fighting corruption in 114 countries and territories.
In June 2019, AFA, in partnership with GRECO, the OECD, and the NCPA, launched a global mapping project of anti-corruption authorities.
The project’s objective is to gather, centralize, and disseminate information about the various anti-corruption institutions established worldwide. This extensive data collection aims at helping anti-corruption practitioners to better understand anticorruption authorities’ characteristics and specific needs. It also seeks to identify common trends and challenges, and to explore concrete avenues for cooperation between, and with, anti-corruption authorities.
Besides, the project favours a knowledge-based approach to international cooperation on anti-corruption through research and analysis. In order to design and implement efficient cooperation activities, it is crucial to know who the relevant actors are, and what can be asked from them in light of their mandates. The global mapping project endeavours to strengthen peer-to-peer cooperation and mutual capacity building by providing an up-to-date picture of anti-corruption authorities.
Published today, the analysis report of the global mapping of anti-corruption authorities illustrates and examines the findings of this joint project, based on data provided by 171 national authorities from 114 countries and territories.
Under AFA’s current presidency, the insights of this global mapping will guide the NCPA’s search for better ways to implement international cooperation in the field of corruption prevention. With the invaluable support of international organizations, and the unwavering commitment of its members, the NCPA is determined to create a dynamic hub for connecting anti-corruption authorities around the world.
